ENTERING THE MYSTERY

There comes a moment when more information no longer changes us. Another book won't do it. Another podcast won't do it. Another theology, opinion, or spiritual technique won't do it.

Because transformation is not the accumulation of knowledge.

It is surrender.

For the next period of time (which could be months or years) I am submerging myself into what I can only describe as a Mystical Apprenticeship—an intentional season devoted not simply to studying God, but to becoming increasingly available to God. To immerse myself in the mind of Christ. To sit with Scripture until it begins reading me. To learn from the great Christian mystics. To immerse myself into mother nature.

To enter the silence.

To wrestle with the subconscious. To walk with the Holy Spirit. To rediscover Lady Wisdom. To let Spirit lead me. To listen deeply within. To allow love to become my teacher.

I don't know exactly where this journey will lead.

And perhaps that is precisely the point.

We live in an age overflowing with spiritual content.

Thousands of books. Infinite podcasts. More opinions than any generation has ever held.

And yet...many of us remain unchanged.

Because information is not formation. We cannot think our way into union with God.

We cannot download wisdom. We cannot consume enough theology to awaken the soul. The invitation has always been something deeper.

Not simply learning about Christ. Becoming like Christ.

This is the ancient path. The slow path. The contemplative path. The mystical path.

It asks less, "What do you know?" and more, "What is God becoming within you?"

I Don't Know Where This Will Lead

And that's strangely freeing.

I'm not beginning this journey with a business plan. Or a five-year strategy. Or a promise that I've figured everything out.

I'm simply responding to an invitation.

I'm simply choosing to follow where God leads—through deep inner listening, prayer, contemplation, dreamwork, natures guidance, Scripture, the life of Jesus, the mystics, and the deep work of inner transformation.

I'm not approaching this as something to master.

I'm allowing God to master me.

Hi! I’m Rev. Rachel

MEET THE WOMAN BEHIND THE JOURNEY

For much of my life I've loved learning.

Books. Ideas. Military Strategy. Leadership. Psychology. Theology. Business. Mysticism. Ancient wisdom. Modern science and spirituality.

I've spent years studying, leading organizations, serving churches, mentoring leaders and helping people navigate change.

And I'm deeply grateful for every lesson.

But somewhere along the way I realized something uncomfortable. Knowing more wasn't necessarily becoming more. I could explain transformation. Without always embodying it. I could teach contemplative practices. While still moving too quickly. I could study the mystics. Without truly living like one.

That realization became an invitation. Not into another certification. Not another degree. Not another achievement.

But into surrender.

“My life was collapsing until I called you. I wasn’t just at the bottom of the pit—I was ready to be swallowed by quicksand and disappear. Without your compassionate companionship and your willingness to walk the journey with me, I don’t know where I would be today.” — K.S.

“There is a really deep well inside me. And in it dwells God.” - Etty Hillesum

I’m going to see how deep it goes.

BEYOND THE VEIL

Want to accompany me on the journey?

When God speaks through this journey...I'll write. When wisdom emerges...I'll share it. When mystery deepens...I'll trust it.

My hope isn't to create followers.

My hope is simply to become someone who a little more divinely connected today than yesterday.
